Identify Your Remote

4-Light GEN-1 remotes will have 4 indicator lights on the left side of the remote. To identify a GEN-1 remote, turn the remote off. Now hold the ON button down for a couple of seconds when you power the remote. If the indicator lights flash between the top and bottom two lights, like a RR crossing, it is a GEN-1 remote.

4-Light GEN-2 remotes will have 4 indicator lights on the left side of the remote.  To identify a GEN-2 remote, turn the remote off. Now hold the ON button down for a couple of seconds when you power the remote. If the POWER and ERR lights illuminate, it is a GEN-2 remote.

3-Light remotes will have 3 indicator lights on the left side of the remote.

        Unlinking Instructions

        Handheld/Base Unit Unlinking

In some circumstances it may become necessary to break the communication link, or unlink a handheld and a base unit. The unlinking procedure is almost identical to the linking procedure, except the OFF button is used and held throughout the process instead of the ON button.

Once unlinked, the Hopper Walker base unit will not communicate with any handheld remote units. A handheld remote must use the linking procedure to re-establish a communication link with the base unit.
