3-Light remotes will have 3 indicator lights on the left side of the remote.
4-Light GEN-1 remotes will have 4 indicator lights on the left side of the remote. To identify a GEN-1 remote, turn the remote off. Now hold the ON button down for a couple of seconds when you power the remote. If the indicator lights flash between the top and bottom two lights, like a RR crossing, it is a GEN-1 remote.

Unlink Instructions
Unlink Base with all remotes
In some circumstances it may become necessary to break the communication link, or unlink a base unit will all remotes. The unlink procedure is almost identical to the link procedure, except the OFF button is used and held throughout the process instead of the ON button.
Once unlinked, the Hopper Walker base unit will not communicate with any handheld remote units. A handheld remote must use the link procedure to re-establish a communication link with the base unit.
